Jobs From Friends uses the information you provide to review job listings, manage your activity, and review introduction requests.
Public job listings
Approved listings show the job title, company, location, work arrangement, job description, notes, logo, and application links you supply. Your submitter identity and the private introduction contact email are kept off the public board. Avoid putting private personal information in the public description or notes.
Sign-in information
Email sign-in uses your email address and a verification code. When Google sign-in is enabled, Google supplies your name and verified email address for sign-in. We use this information to identify your account and associate your listings and requests with it. For a Google account that uses an email address outside Gmail or Google Workspace, we ask you to verify that address with an email code.
Sign-in and rate-limit records, including request IP addresses, help protect the site from abuse.
Private introduction requests
An introduction request includes your name, email, pitch, profile links, and uploaded résumé. You verify the email on your request through Google sign-in or an email code before the résumé is uploaded. The site owner can review this information privately, and you can see your request status in your account.
If the owner approves an introduction, those details are shared with the private contact for that job. The job’s submitter can also see your name and email once an introduction is sent. Submitting a request does not guarantee an introduction.
Direct applications take place on the company’s application site. Information you provide there is handled by that site.
Cookies and saved drafts
The site uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and protect sign-in. A job draft may be saved in your browser so you can continue later. Browser drafts remain on that browser and can be removed by clearing the site’s browser storage.
Services that process information
Cloudflare provides the site’s hosting, database, and résumé storage. Resend processes emails such as sign-in codes, listing updates, and approved introduction packets. Google processes Google sign-in when that option is enabled.
Managing your information
In Your account, you can manage your listings and select “Delete my data.” That action removes your account-linked requests, uploaded résumés, sign-in codes, and related notification records, removes your submitter identity from listings and activity records, closes your published listings, clears your saved draft on this browser, and signs out your sessions.
Deleting your data cannot recall emails already sent or remove copies held by recipients. For privacy questions or help with information that has already been shared, contact hello@mail.jobsfromfriends.com.
